Aconitase is an iron-sulfur protein that catalyzes two reactions: http://falcon.sbuniv.edu/~ggray/CHE3364/b1c20out.html
Notes:
Aconitase, a key enzyme of the Krebs cycle, catalized the intercorversion of citrate, cis-aconitic acid, and isocitrate.
This is the first step in the Krebs cycle, after condensation of acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate to form citrate. Without aconitase energy prodaction becomes ineffitient. Aconitase has an iron iron-sulfur cluster at its active site.
